Chart No. 1 · K 24

Wreck showing hull (stranded wreck)

Dangers

A black ship silhouette marks a wreck with hull or superstructure visible at chart datum.

What it means
A solid ship silhouette marks a wreck showing any portion of hull or superstructure at the level of chart datum — a stranded wreck you may actually see.
Why it matters
Visible wrecks are easy to avoid by eye in daylight — but remember debris often extends underwater well beyond what shows.
