Offshore platform
Areas & limitsRegional
A small platform position, designation, and any charted light mark an offshore installation.
What it means
The platform symbol marks the precise position of a fixed offshore installation. A designation, light flare, or safety-zone limit may be added.
Why it matters
Do not assume a universal light or fog characteristic. Read the charted characteristic and applicable safety-zone rules for that installation.
