Spar buoy

A thin, elongated glyph is a spar — a pole-like buoy common in small channels and winter marks.
What it means
A long, narrow triangle leaning from its position circle is a spar (spindle) buoy — a floating pole.
Why it matters
Spars are cheap and ice-resistant, so they are everywhere in small-craft channels. Like pillars, their meaning is carried by color and topmark, not shape.
