A triangle glyph is a conical or nun buoy — the shape used for starboard-hand marks in IALA B waters.
What it means
A triangle sitting on a small position circle is the charted glyph for a conical (nun) buoy. The circle at the base marks the buoy's actual position.
Why it matters
Shape is a navigation signal in itself: cones/nuns are 'pointed' marks (red, starboard-hand in US IALA B waters; green starboard-hand in Region A). Color letters beside the glyph (R, G, Y) confirm it.
